Show Stopped in Third Bound. TACOMA. Wash.. Oct. 21.-Th referee I prevented Rufe Turner from slaughtering Charles Lvere here stopping in the third round what was to have been a twenty-round match. The latter was so clearly outmatched that Turner only refrained re-frained from knocking him out In the first round through pity, and for the rest of the fiasco he merely hit his man enough to ktop him at a safe-distance. A good preliminary was put on between Kid Krant and Pat Maglnnis of Seattle the former winning with two left punches to the Jaw In the second round. |
