Show UTAH CELEBRATION AT WORLD'S FAiR ST. LOUIS. Oct 2L The official bulletin issued last night by the World's fair publicity pub-licity department says: "Utah day was fittingly observed today at the 8tate building. Though no formal exercises were held, thousands of guests who thronged the building during the day were presented with souvenir Utah buttons and enjoyed the informal hospitality that was a predominant feature of the day's observance. ob-servance. . "Elaborate decorations of flags,- palms and flowers, both . outside and within, were tastefully displayed. - A flag representing repre-senting the Utah coat-of-arms hung over the foot, of the stairway of the reception-room, under which most of the visitors vis-itors were required to pass. "Among the most prominent of those who arrived on four excursion trains which left Ogden and Salt Lake Crty three days ago for the exposition are: C. F. Mlddleton of Ogden, one of the counselors of the Weber stake of the Mormon church; ex-Judge. W. S. ShurtllfT and Judge George W. Bartch of the Utah Supreme court, and James T. Lynch of Salt Lake City. "Several scores of Utah excursionists did not arrive at the exposition until the latter part of the day, due to .delayed trains." - |
