Show Berrys Painted Black. NORTON, Kan.,' Feb. JS.-the trial of Chauncey Dewey, the milllonaive ranchman, ranch-man, and his eowboys, M&Bride and Wilson, Wil-son, charged with the murder of Bur chard ch-ard Berry, was resumed.- The larger part of the day was taken up by the defense de-fense in an attempt vo show that the Berrys Ber-rys bad at different times threatened the life of Dewey. Twelve witnesses, mostly neighbors of the two families, gave evidence evi-dence favorable tq Dewey and discreditable discredita-ble to the Berrys. |
