Show LEADER OF G. A. R. DIES . . i John W. Browning of Denver Den-ver Succumbs 4o Heart Trouble. - ' DEXVER. Colo., April 8. A telegram has been received here from Mobile, Ala., announcing the death in that city of John W. Browning, a well-known resident of Denver. Death was due to valvular trouble of the hart. Mr. Browning was born in New York City 62 years ago. Coming to Ilpnver In 184. Mr. Browning pursued for a time the rractic-e of law. He held several appointive ap-pointive Federal positions, finally associating asso-ciating himself with the head management manage-ment of the Pacific Jurisdiction, Woodmen Wood-men of the World. - Mr. Browning was prominent in G. A. R. circles being a past commander of the Department of Colorado and Wyoming. Wyo-ming. He also served as commander of the Veteran Legion. A widow survive him. |
