Mr. and Mrs Martin Mika mo-ved Saturday to the Chandler apartments where they will make their home. Mr Mika is now chief id' poller and Highland Boy residents are extending their best wishes for his success. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs. Theodore Bilbao on the ar-- l rival of their daughter Tuesday evening at St. Mark's hospital. Mrs. Bilbao is the former Anna Muhar and lived in Highland Boy most of her life. John Bo lie, son ol Mr and Mrs. Nick Bolie, and a student at the LDS Business college, was hon-- ' ored Tuesday by his classmates when he was unanimously elect-ed as a representative to attend all student council meetings, and assist with various forms of student government. Five other students were also chosen. Mrs W. C. Carter and Mrs. Axel Sybrowsky. Delightful refresh-ments were served. Mrs. Guy Murray of Sandy entertained Tuesday afternoon at a nicely appointed one o'clock luncheon in honor of her daugh-ter, Evelyn. Those present were Melba. Marker, Pat Sturgill, Ag-nes Kessler and Nancy William-ton- . Later five hundred was played with prizes won by Mrs. Sturgill and Mrs. Williamson. A birthday party was given re-cently in honor of Joyce Miller by her mother, Mrs. Leonard L. Miller of Bingham. A recent engagement which will be of interest to Highland Boy residents is that of Miss Milka Tomas to Pat Barriutla of Salt Lake City. The couple are both students at the University of Utah and both are former re-sidents of Highland Boy. Miss Tomas is a sister of Kli and Mike Tomas and groom-to-b- e is the son of Pat Ban iutia, former business man in Highland Boy Wedding plans are indefinite. Attelio Azzelio, son of Mrs. Tony Azzelio. spent Saturday vis-iting with friends and relatives in Murray Later he was a din-ner guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Rottftli. The game proved to be a rather interesting one since the Salt Lakers won by one point, 'which was gained by a long pitch taken from the middle of the floor. Mrs Clarence Kennedy of Park City has been visiting in Bing-ham lor a few days with her son, Calvin Miller and old friends. She was a luncheon guest at the Highland Boy Community House Tuesday. Josephine Rubalcava and Theo-dore Rubalcava returned Sunday morning from Seattle where they spent a week with their brother Albert and friends. Questers and Queen Esthers held an important business meet-ing Tuesday evening. Dorothy Gerbieh led the worship seervice Plans were also made for Easter activities for a Youth Fellowship trip to Ely, Nov., and for enter-taining the Utah Conference Youth Fellowship some time this spring. Highland Boy Cub Scouts are busy with many activities. Bas-ketball is always of interest. They want to challenge some little boys from Bingham next week. Their woodwork shop is a humming place as little shelves, wagons, chests, stools, etc. are created. The plaster plaques are a delight as the fingers stir the "mudpio" mixture and then la-ter as the paint glorifies the white figure. Achievements are being met and happiness abounds m the doing. Rev. Ada Dulugg returned Sunday morning from Seattle, Wash., where she attended the Western Jurisdictional meeting of the Women's Society of Chris-tian Service. She spoke to the delegation and at several Seattle churches, also visited the work at Monroe, Wash and the Com-munity House at Tacoma, Wash. Boy Scouts, under the capable leadership of Harry Smith and his assistants, Daniel Shea, Vin-- j cent Miola and Milan Smilanich, are accomplishing much. At their meeting Tuesday evening at the Community House, plans were made for the raising of funds for their summer camping program. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Xaiz of Sandy moved to Highland Boy Thursday where they plan to make their home. Mr. Xaiz is a former resident and his wife is a California girl. They were hearti-ly welcomed by friends and re-latives here. Thursday evening guests at the home of JoAnn Massa were Elma Pazell, George Dimas and Dorothy Chanak. Cards were en-joyed during the evening fol-lowed by light refreshments. A delightful evening was spent by those attending- James B. McGee and Jim hi spent Friday afternoon visiting friends in Midvale and Murray. Earlier in the afternoon they contributed blood to the St. Mark's blood bank. Mrs. Milka Smilanich was honored at a delightful surprise birthday dinner Friday evening prepared for her by her sons, Steve, Milan and Paul.
