Is now, and has for many years past, been living in open and notorious polygamy with plural wives. Five .of these wives, with their residences in Salt Lake, are given as follows: Jullna L. Smith, living liv-ing at No. 333 West First North street, where Joseph F. Smith has his residence In the directory; Edna L. Smith, living at No. 143 North Second West street. This woman is a sister to Jullna, and she it was who accompanied the president on his trip to St. Louis. The third wife Is riven as Sarah E. Smith, living at 157 North Second Wept; the fourth, Alice K. Smith, living at 127 North Second West; the fifth, Mary T. Smith, living at 66 East North Temple. The affidavit sets forth that Joseph F. Smith is the self-acknowledged self-acknowledged father -of forty-two children chil-dren by these wives and that three of the children are less than three years old. |
