Show COURT HEARS MANY PLEAD "NOT GUILTY" A number of prisoners appeared before Judge Morse this morning for arraign-, ment. , George Goodwin, a negro, charged with breaking Into the house of F. W. Beecher at No. 15 Commercial street, entered a plea of not guilty. He said that he was employed as janitor and had a key at all times. As he had no attorney to look after af-ter his interests, the case was postponed. Matt E. Johnson of Bingham canyon, ? leaded not guilty to a charge of burglary, t Is alleged that he went Into the room of Andrew Dahlstrom and took several articles of value. His case was also postponed. post-poned. John Hong, a Celestial, was charged with assault with a razor upon T. E. Hazsard on May 2. Trial was delayed until un-til an attorney could be secured. Marlnus Olsen pleaded not guilty to a criminal charge. The offense is alleged to have been committed by himself and one Julia Hanson. The case was postponed until counsel could be secured. William Taylor, who was to have answered an-swered a charge of burglary, died a few days sgo and his case was dismissed. |
