Warwick War-wick 'is now about to be mustered In, and will no doubt be a great success. suc-cess. The muster roll at present shows about forty popular young' men of Salt Lake, a "number of whom are members mem-bers of the Commercial and University clubs. The members of the purposed company met at -the Commercial club last Monday night and discussed the solution. everything being thoroughly explained by G. N. Warwick. The ' company will be mustered in next Monday or Tuesday night at the Commercial club rooms, reaching. It Is expected, fifty strong. It will be strictly military in every detail. Many of the men have seen long, and hard service, having been connected .with the regular army for . twenty years. G. N. Warwick is elated for the Captaincy, while Arthur v J; Skidmore. the present First Lieutenant of the signal corps, has accepted the First Lieutenancy.. '.-!. General orders were issued last week appointing a board of examiners to examine ex-amine certain officers to test their knowledge of military matters. The detail for the board Is: Lieut.-Col. H. M. H. Lund, Capt, J.i A. Greene wald, Lieut W. C. Webb and Lieut. A. J. Skidmore. The officers to be examined are: Capt W. W. Williams and Lieuts. Adrion Pembroke, F. P. Basset t E. V. mlth. Tod Caine, Harry Jennings and Fred U. Leonard. The officers passing a satisfactory examination will receive commissions, while those, falling, if any, 'will not remain in the service. Company H and the troop each spent its respective evening at gallery practice prac-tice with good results.- Capt J. A. Greenewald of the signal corps will leave for California next week, on a short business trip. |
