Show FIRST BLOOD FOR THE LUKE AGENCY In the conspiracy case filed, recently in the District court against Frauds G. Luke", Judge Durand and Thomas Kane, the case of Ella Hennessy vs. John Walsh was mentioned as one count. The District court has deeided the Hennessy case in favor of the plaintiff, plain-tiff, thus scoring one point for the Luke agency. In the case of Ella Hennessy vs. John Walsh, sued in Murray, the defendant's de-fendant's wages were attached; he was working lor the city. He owed Mrs. Hennessy, who lives at 537 South Second WeBt, $29 for house rent The defendant contested the case in Murray. Mur-ray. Judge Durand decided against the defendant ud defendant's attorney attor-ney then commenced suit for his client cli-ent in the District court, and had a writ issued restraining Judge Durand from proceeding with this case, claiming claim-ing fraud, collusion and no jurisdiction, jurisdic-tion, and that Francis G. Luke connived con-nived and schemed to defraud Mr. Walsh out of the sum of $29 by reason of this action in Murray. The District court has now decided in favor of Judge Durand, and denied Walsh's petition. |
