Bransford, late of California, but a native . ot Tennessee, and connected with a large and influential influen-tial family of the same name of that State and Kentucky, baa been a guest at the Cullen hotel for some three weeks. He is out seeking health, lost In the San Francisco earthquake, and on this account has thought seriously of investing In real estate and making Salt Lake hia home. Mr. Bransford . is a relative of John D. Bransford, a clerical attache ot. the Tribune office, and baa other relatives of the same name in this city. Hia father was a strong and popular minister, minis-ter, known for forty years In Tennessee Tennes-see snd Kentucky and associated with the Rev. William H. Leigh, a prominent minister min-ister and member of the Methodist conference, con-ference, and father of Clint B. Leigh- and Miss Ora Leigh of THE TELEGRAM Staff. Mr. Bransford Is also a relative of Col. Thomas L Bransford,') once prominent In Tennessee politics and candidate for Governor of the State; the father of MaJ. John S. Bransford. a railroad official and banker, and at present a successful financier and well-known business man of Tennessee's capital. Mr. Bransford reports the outlook for a greater yield ot. cotton and corn la Tennessee and Kentucky than for many years.
