Show SOUL SAFE, NEVERTHELESS. A very bright woman told the writer of this once that after she and her husband were married in the Temple and came on the outside she said to her husband hus-band "That does not amount to much, after all." His answer was : "You don't understand. After being baptized in the Mormon church, and after taking such obligations obliga-tions as you have just taken in the Temple, you may do whatever you please and still your soul will be saved." There is no other accounting for the testimony delivered by Joseph F. Smith before the chancellor in this city some years ago, and his declaration when arraigned in court last week. . That is a theory of the Mormon church. After having the sanctity of the church drawn around an individual, that individual indi-vidual may make any statement - that he or she pleases 'on the outside and still his or her soul is saved. |
