When tha two theater-goers returned Hathaway followed fol-lowed Mrs. Peirson into her home, and confronting her husband, remarked: "It's all off now with you, Mr. Peir-sqn. Peir-sqn. Your wife likes ma better than you and we're going to elope." Then Mrs. Peirson threw her arms around the neck of Hathaway, kissed him and repeated several times, "I love him." Then the theater-goers walked out of the house. Mr. Peirson, with hi detective father, started in pursuit. ' A battle royal at once ensued. The two masculine mascu-line Peirson were so badly worsted they had to withdraw. The woman left behin J her two little girls, ona 5 and tha other 3 years old. |
