A a vJ ... . w i w t i...J f " - " ' ' j r - , f A telegram was received from Senator -Emoot today- announcing that a permit had been granted to the Mill Creek Power Pow-er company to erect two power plants In the Salt Lake' forest reserve , In Mill Creek canyon. Permission is also granted for pipe and transmission lines over the reserve. The company, which Is composed of the following: id. M.'ir, D. T, Brtnton. J. T. Cahoon, F. M. Lyman, Jr., and - J John A. Bagley. intend to erect two power pow-er plants on MU1 creek at a total cost of JiJb.OOO. .... . . . ' - The upper plant, the ' horse-power cf '.' which -will be generated by a. fall cf 40) feet, is' fast nearing completion. All of -the machinery, poles, transmitters, wires, .etc-, have been ordered and are now on the way. As soon as this plant, which will generate ejO horse-power, is completed . . work on the other plant will be commenced. com-menced. At this plant 800 horse-power . will be generated by a fall of 1000 feet. , Practically all of the power has already been contracted for. for a period of thirty f yearn. The company will furnish light ana f power to the Salt Lake Pressed Brick . : company. Murray and a large part of the country outside of this city.
