Show SUPERINTENDENTS Of UTAH SCHOOLS MEET The annual convention of the City and County Superintendents of tah schools cor-ened this morning at 10 o'clock In '.e city and ' county building. build-ing. A small number attended the session ses-sion today, but mOre.are expected tomorrow. to-morrow. State Superintendent A. C. Nelson is presiding. The leading speakers this morning were Prof. W. J. Kerr, president of the Agricultural college of Logan, and by-Prof. by-Prof. J. T. Kingsbury, president of the University of Utah. Prof. Kerr's ad- . dress was on "Modern Demands in Ed- ' ucation." Prof. Klnscsbury SDOke on "Comparative Importance of Different. Kinds of Education." This afternoon Prof. William M. Stewart of the normal department of the University of Utah Is delivering an address on "Relation of Courses of , .Study of Normal Training School to State Courses." Prof. Chrlstensen of the city schools Is on the programme this afternoon for an address on "Relation "Re-lation of Courses of Study In City Schools to State Courses." Tomorrow County Superintendent Orson Ryan will speak on "Purpose of County Superintendent's Seml-Annual Visit."' Superintendents' reports will be heard on proposed changes in State course of duty. The meeting will adjourn at oooa tomorrow. |
