Show Chicago Produce. CHICAGO, March 6. The wheat market mar-ket opened steady here, chiefly became of fresh rumors of an Impending war In Europe. Pit traders were at first Inclined In-clined to sell because of the favorable weather conditions for the crop In this country, but their offerings .were largely taken by commission-houses, and the war rumors which were received a short time later steadied the market Cables were also higher. May wheat opened a shade lower, to a shade higher at 7878c sold up to yic declined to c and advanced ad-vanced again to 78c. . . , Minneapolis, Duluth and Chicago reported re-ported receipts of 845 cars, against 2S4 cars a year ago. There was small trading in corn with very light offerings, and the market held steady. May opened , unchanged to a shade hlgner at 43c to 43434c declined de-clined to 43c and then sold up to 439 48C The oats market was steady but trade was exceedingly light May oats opened unchanged at 80c,- declined to 80c and rallied to 30e. ' . - Provisions were steady- at the opening, but declined later on realising by local longs. May pork opened at 215.67 and declined de-clined to 815.50. Lard sold oft to 87.87V4. and ribs were - unchanged to' a shade higher at 88.35S8.37Vs and declined to 88.30.
