Rockefeller secured Four Cylinder a. chestnut, gelding that turned the Lexington! Ky track In 25 in a public race last season. Mr. Rockefeller Rocke-feller paid $1400. This was said , to be the highest price paid for a saddle horse at auction In New Tork since 190L t , . Bidding for all the twenty-three Kentucky Ken-tucky saddle horses offered was extremely ex-tremely agressive. The lot .was sold In an hour and a half for $13,080, an aver age' of $568. The total and average! as well as the top price, were the best recorded re-corded in five years Jn New York's market for saddle horses at auction, H. E. t 4 Weatherbee, owAer of the champion high-Jumper Pearl,' paid $800 for the dark chestnut mare Par Value. Two of the choice ones went to Mrs. P.
