Show WORK OF PUPILS WILL BE SHOWN Exhibit of Manual Training Train-ing and Needlework at Grant School. Handiwork of the pupils of the four upper grades of the Grant school will be placed on exhibition at the main hall of the building Thursday - night. Gov. John C. Cutler, Superintendent Christensen of the city schools and the patrons of the school will Inspect the work. - The exhibit promises to be one of the finest of its kind ever given in Utah. It will represent plain and fancy needlework needle-work done by the girls of the sewing classes and cabinet and plain manual training work done by the boys. The Grant school has the largest enrollment en-rollment of any school In the city. A.. 8. Martin Is the principal. He has collected col-lected the work of about 150 boys and an equal number of girls to be shown at the exhibit. ' The pupils have all written invitations invita-tions to shelr friends to call and .inspect .in-spect the work. ; V - The work done by the boys has been superintended by Miss Randolph of the Grant school. The work done by the girls has been looked after by Mies Corbett, superintendent of .sewing throughout the city schools. V. The exhibition will be made to show that the Industrial work In the schools is practical and not a fad. |
