Show Mr. J. J. Daly says the most beautiful feature that came out of the San Francisco catastrophe was the utter absence of all selfishness displayed. People Peo-ple would divide their last crust, and last drink of water with others and it did not matter who the other was so he or she was in need. lie thinks there are no other such people in the world as those of San Francisco; that no other people could bear such a loss so cheerfully, and at the same time keep all their generous impulses alive and warm. |
