Show FREE-HAND D3AV7ING . CLASS ATY.H.C. A. The first free-hand class in -drawing at the T. M. C. A. was held . In the class rooms last night. As was to he expected tne attendance was limited. It not being well known that such a class was to' begin. .The work of this class Is to Include model drawing, still 'life and nature. On Saturday afternoons an outdoor sketching class will be organized, organ-ized, and delightful trips to the adjacent adja-cent hills and country will be made. A room in the basement has been j fitted up so that light and shade effects j may be best secured. The class will be taught by M. M. Young, for Ave years a student in the art leagues of New York and Paris, having studied four years In the Academy des Arts of the last named city. He also exhibited in two of the best salons of the French capital, one of which was the Salon des 'Beaux Arts. Mr. Young Is the only artist in Salt Lake who devotes his entire time to the pursuit and study of art, and there is perhaps no man in Salt Lake so well trained for the work in hand as he is. Application for enrollment in this class may be made at the office of the director of education. |
