Show NEED Of EMERGENCY HOSPITAL IS SHOWN The Imminent need of an emergency hospital for the care of the city's sick was shown Saturday when It became necessary nec-essary for City Physician WJlcox to secure se-cure accommodations with a private family for a woman suffering from diphtherial diph-therial The case was that of Mrs. M. 8. Fisher, wife of the superintendent of the Mercantile Mer-cantile Crude Oil company of Colinga, Cal. She was taken 111 while on the train and was obliged to stop In Salt Lake City. Her husband then appealed to the police for a place to put the sick woman. The police called for the assistance of Dr. Wilcox. After spending several hours searching for a suitable place, he at last secured temporary quarters for the woman with a family bearing the name of Johnson.' at Second South and Sixth East streets. Several members jf the family have lately late-ly been quarantined. It waa the only place In a city of 75.000 persons that accommodations ac-commodations for a sick person could be secured. - The pesthouse will only accommodate accom-modate smallpox patients.
