Show SOME IMPROVEMENT a IN STOCK MARKET - NEW YORK, Oct. 21. Relaxation of the money tension both here and abroad has led to some improvement in sentiment senti-ment In the stock market. The money situation Is believed, however, to be dependent upon the exercise of restraint in speculative extension. The stock market has been in consequence dull and sluggish and light revival of speculation spec-ulation has been largely centered in a group of low-priced industrial stocks, especially in railroad equipment stocks, which are influenced by special factors. The problem of the extent of further currency demands from the interior, the remittance-toward the Japanese funds on deposit In New York and the effect upon the money markets of the forthcoming Russian loan keep alive the uncertainty over the future. |
