Show HE URGES SECRETARY SHAW WOT TO RESIGN CHICAGO. Jan. 13. A . dispatch to the Chronicle from Washington says: "AC the" meeting of the Cabinet yesterday yester-day President Roosevelt asked Secretary Secre-tary Shaw, to remain at the. head of the treasury until March 4, 1907, and Mr. Shaw agreed to do so. More than a year ago Mr. Shaw let It be known that he expected to retire from the Cabinet In February of-this year.
