Flammer a letter vongratu-' vongratu-' latlng him on hia withdrawal from 'the race for District Attorney in favor of District Attorney Jerome. ' The Secretary's Secre-tary's letter follows: "My Dear Judge Flammer: I con-x gratulate you upon your withdrawal from the race for DiBtric-t Attorneyship. It was public-spirited and wise, and shows the qualities which have made you suchva good Judge and such a good cltisen. . "The selection of a District Attorney Is fiot so. much a question of one party against another as It Is of all honest people against all the crooks and criminals crimi-nals of. every kind. Jerome now wems to have a good chance of election, and his. election would be a great thing for New Tork. He has vigor and fearless-. fearless-. ness and enthusiasm in the cause of justice, and hates a thief, and cannot be hushed up or put to sleep by any Influence In-fluence whatsoever.
