Show Cawder Enters Cabinet. LONDON, March fi. It Is officially announced an-nounced that Karl Cawder will succeed Lord Selbourne as Flint Lord ot the Admiralty. Ad-miralty. The appointment is somewhat of a surprise, he having since his sccea- ' slou to the earldom taken no active part In politics and being absorbed in railway management. His business qualifications are so sound, however, that, though he steps into the Cabinet at a bound and witiiout experience In minor offices of the Ministry, the appointment la well received. At the head of ths admiralty la considered consid-ered to b a good place for a capable boslness man. Earl Cawder will resign trom the chairmanship of the Great Western Railway. |
