Show TRIAL OF MRS. CHAD WICK IS BEGUN IN CLEVELAND CLEVELAND, O.', March 6. The trial of Mrs. Cassle L. Chadwick for alleged al-leged violation of the national banking bank-ing lawa, was commenced In the United States District court before Judge Tay-ler Tay-ler today. . Mrs. Chadwick came into court in the custody of two bailiffs. She was calm and self-possessed, showing not the slightest trace of excitement. She wore a black gown, white silk shirt waist, which was for the most part concealed by a black velvet coat, which was relieved by white revers. and wmt cuffs, covered with black braid. , Shs took a seat at a table In the center of the courtroom immediately behind her leading counsel. Jay P. Dawley. Prosecuting Attorney Sullivan briefly brief-ly adrdessed the Jury, saying that the charge against Mrs Chadwick was conspiracy against the United States In connection with the financial Irregularities Irregu-larities committed In various transactions transac-tions with the Cltisen's National bank of Oberlln. O. Mr. Dawley then commenced the examination ex-amination of the Jury, asking them In addition to the regular routine questions ques-tions if they were capable of giving fair consideration to the evidence notwithstanding not-withstanding the fact that the United States was a party to the suit. He was busy with the third Juror when the door opened and Andrew Carnegie, followed by S. T. Everett, at whose home he Is staying, entered the room.
