Show MUST LEAVE HIS WIFE Queer Provision Made In Will of Spinster Who Left Lorer-Fortunc. i . . PITTSBURG, Aug. 7. By the terms of the will filed for probate here, Miss Anna M. Gunning leaves the greater part of her 1500,000 estate to Carl F. Miller, her former for-mer sweetheart, on condition that he divorce di-vorce his present wife, or that the latter dies. Miss Gunning was 5S years old when she died on July 18 last. When the will was read after the funeral It was found to be one of the most remarkable documents of the kind ever read. After making bequests be-quests amounting to 348.000 to her only living relatives, t "1 of them distant, and to several of her friends, she left the remainder re-mainder of the estate, valued at 3600,000, to Miller, a prominent business man, on condition that he obtain an absolute divorce di-vorce from his present wife or that she dies. After the will was read It was remembered remem-bered that years ago Mr. Miller had courted Miss Gunning. Even in those days she did not attempt to hide the fact that she was fond of him. After they had kept company for many years Miller's love seemed to grow cold, and he left her entirely for his present wife, who was Jane Wikspn. That Miss Gunning, though broken-hearted, never forgot Is evidenced by the bitter wording of the will. |
