Show NATIONAL GUARD IN, i ITS NEW QUARTERS The' National GuarcJ of Utah moved into its new quarters in the old high school building in Pierpont street yes-i yes-i terday. Nearly all the equipment from the Market street 'quarters has been ' transferred to the new quarters. The Jiew quarters will be fixed up more elaborately than any yet occupied by the organization. .A gymnasium, a ' basket-ball court, a hand-ball court, arrangements for Indoor baseball and Indoor tennis are to be established. In ' the basement. will also be the gunroom, , ' where all the pieces will be quartered. t I In nearly every way the new quar-!iiers quar-!iiers give more satisfaction than when -"fthe armory was stationed in Market . Here all maga-, maga-, ipes .will be kept, as well as books of C Instruction, 1 ', The annual encampment of the guard will begin September 6, this year. Two ' sites for the encampment are under consideration. One is near Snydervllle, j Summit county,- and the other Is near , Manti, In Sanpete county. |
