Show A. ANDERSON RITES JHURSDAY Funeral services for Andrew Anderson, 76, Sandy, who died Monday at 11:40 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital of a heart ailment, were held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at 125 N. Main, Salt Lake City, by Rev. A. Leonard Wood, pastor pas-tor of St. Peter's Episcopal church. l He was born January 7, 1871 in Jacobstadt, Finland, a son of John and Sophia So-phia Lillenquist Anderson. He came to the United Uni-ted States when 17 years of age and settled in i Utah 32 years j a an MafnM ho i came to Utah Mr. Anderson lived liv-ed in Eureka, Nev., for 27 years where he was charter member of the I.O.O.F. chapter. He resided in Bingham Canyon for 30 years j and was a charter member of i the I.O.O.F chapter here. He married Miss Anna M. j Huebner May 15, 1897 In Eureka. At the time of his death he was a retired employee of the U. S. j Smelting, Refining & Mining: company, having worked for the company 25 years. He had been j an active civic worker in all cit- i ies where he resided. He was a ; member of the Swedish Luther-an Luther-an church. Surviving besides his widow are: two sons, Alfred D. Ander- j son, Selby, Calif., and W. Rus- j sell Anderson, Bingham Canyon, j and one grandchild. Burial was in the family plot at Mt. Olivet cemetery, Salt Lake City. " |
