This morning nt 10: Jo o'chwk the veterans were taken by automobile from their special train at tha depot to the tabernacle to listen to a sue-clul sue-clul organ recital arranged In their honor. Immediately following the recital they were taken to Liberty park, where they enjoyed a luncheon prepared pre-pared hy women's military auxiliaries. The Veterans of Foreign Wars hand played selections during the luncheon hour. Following the luncheon the men were returned to the special trnln, which went out over the Western Pa-Iflc Pa-Iflc railroad nt 2:40 o'clock. The veterans left the city with the rousing good program of entertainment accorded them last night at the Ship cafe at Salt Mr Indelllbly imprinted In their memory of Salt Iake. At 7 o'clock the men, together wllh many Halt leakers, sat down to a fine dinner, dtirlng wnirh Instrumental and vocal numbers und fancy dances were rvn-dt rvn-dt r-d by Halt Iake artists Mayor C Clarence Neslen, who was responsible for Ihe entertainment of the men while In the city; Hrlicadler enera V. Vir-ren Vir-ren Htoutnour, commander of Hh It Leake post No. 2. American Iegin. presided. That the veterans appreciated appreci-ated the entertainment was evidenced hy the rousing cheers tht greeted each of the itpettkere and entertainers. |
