JO CLUE FOUND TO HIGHWAYMEN Looters of Cigar Store Cover Tracks No clue to the Identity of the two bandits who held up and robbed the I'nited Cigar store at 809 South Main street last night has been uncovered j by the police. The robbery took place while many persons were passing the store and It is considered one of the boldest perpetrated here In several months. One of the men covered Kred Cor-tese. Cor-tese. the clerk, while the other rifled the cwsh register snd obtained about $47. Some of the money was scattered over the floor and the bandit did not stop to gather It up. The robberv occurred shortly after Stephen McMurrln, manager of the company, had left the store. The clerk had placed most of the monev from the cash register In the safe. The police po-lice believe that the bandits waited until the manager left before making their raid. Both men were roughly dressed and. although they wore no masks, their caps were pulled low over their eyes. Two be ye were csptured by a clerk at the Whitworth drug store. 02 Kast Second South street, lsst night, after, thev are alleged to have filled their, pockets with the contents of a show case. They were turned over to thei custody of ths Juvenile court.
