Incorporates With Strong Hoard of Directors The Merrill Mining compnng was formed this week to tnke over tho old Merrill group of three claims and a lease on n portion of tho "Big C" clolm of tho Mnry Ellen Mining company. Officers and directors of tho company are: II. I). Boley, president; John Cleg-horn, Cleg-horn, vice-president; II. C. Johnson, sccretnry and tri-osurer; Jacob Greenwood Green-wood nnd E. J. Wild. Tho completo list of tho Incorporators are: II. C. Johnson, John Cleghorn, H. D. Boley, E. J. Wild, W. S. Ncedham, James II. Clarke, W. C. Boley, Roy C. Boley, J. S. Wild, W. 1). Loveless and Hebcr D. Wild. The Merrill ground is in the heart of the American Pork mineral belt and is among the oldest patented claimes in the district. It adjoins the Live Yankee Yan-kee mine, u noted producer, and is but a short dlBttncc west of thu old Miller mine. In thu ground s re two small flsLUrcs cutting the lime, and tunnels have been driven n Bbort distance Upon both of them. There is carbonate ora in both tunnels, and it is belived that the fissures fis-sures will not have to be followed very far until they will widen out to contain ore bodies characteristic of the camp. A contract already has been let to extend ono of the tunnels, and u force of men will be placed at work tho' flrt of the week. The practical mining men who compose tho company regard thu ground ns promising as any in tho entire district. t The Merrill Mining company is capitalized capi-talized for 1,000,000, shares of tho par value of 10 cents a share, with 5000,000 shnren in tho treasury. , The company start work with $800.00 in the tfcaiury, which is thought will bo suffliient to devclope the mine to a paying basin.
