Show HEALTH NEWS For the week ending September Septem-ber 6, physicians and local health officers reported 114 cases of communicable diseases to the state department of health, compared com-pared with 235 cases for last week and 118 cases for the same week last year. Thirteen cases of poliomyeli-! poliomyeli-! tis have been reported for the week, compared with twenty-i twenty-i three cases for the same week I last year. The peak of the 1945 I poliomyelitis epidemic was reach- ed during the weeks ending Aug-I Aug-I ust 31 and September 7, with thirty-three and twenty-three cases of poliomyelitis respectively. respective-ly. The thirteen cases for this week have been reported from the following locatioas: two cases each from Suit Lake City, I Ogden and Dragerton; one each from Provo, Brigham City, Vernal, Ver-nal, Magna, Mt. Emmons, Roy, and Koosharem. These cases range in age from tourteen months to fifteen years. It is encouraging to note that I for the first time in several weeks I no malaria cases have been re-! re-! ported.
