C Vette 70 prominent in- in man and manager of the railroad department of the Pacific Mutual Life LICe Insurance com company pan died early Thursday morning at his home H street following a lingering lin- lin gering illness Mr Vette a son of Carl CarlO 0 and Ursula W. W Vette was born at Marengo Marengo Ma- Ma rengo Iowa February 14 1864 He received his education at the Blairstown Blairs- Blairs town academy in Blairstown Iowa In 1892 Mr Vette married Nanc Nancy Smith Scott and for or several years cars they made their home in Indiana In 1912 he moved to Salt Lake City with his family and established the railroad accident department for the G Guardian Casualty company in Salt Lake City until the liquidation of the company in 1917 He had taken all degrees In the Ancient and Accepted Order Scottish Scottish Scot Scot- tish Rite of Freemasonry northern jurisdiction ot of the United States at Indianapolis lad Ind and was made anoble a anoble noble of Murat temple Ancient Arabic Arabic Ara- Ara bic Order Nobles ot of the Mystic ShrIne He had been affiliated with the Acacia lodge No 17 in Salt Lake City SurvIving are his w widow dow Mrs Nancy a daughter Mrs Julion Clawson a son W.
