Show STUDENTS MAY COMPETE FOR STATE PRIZES High school students of Utah will compete again this year in the Michael J. Dowling award for 1947. The Michael J Dowling contest con-test is for the purpose of designing design-ing the 1949 Easter seal -of the National Society for Crippled Children and Adults, Inc., and is sponsored by the Utah Society for the Physically Handicapped, Inc. It is a national contest commemorating com-memorating an American, who, despite severe handicaps, rose to a high place in his community and state. Cash prizes will be awarded the four winners for Utah, and they will compete with 44 other state societies for the national a-wards' a-wards' of $500 1st prize, $200 2nd prize, $100 3rd prize and $50 4th place. High school principals and art teachers throughout the state have received material and contest con-test nstructions. The contest has the approval of the National association as-sociation of secondary school principals. The motif of the design de-sign must show a crippled child and include the words: "for crippled crip-pled children" or "help crippled children." The use of color and i design are highly important. Entries must be in by March : 15, to the Utah society headquarters, head-quarters, 168 Regent street, where they will be judged and the winning win-ning entries sent to national contest con-test headquarters for final judging judg-ing April 15th.
