mothers at the age of 15 years or under says a report made public by the New York Le League of Women Voters These girls have become the wives of men ranging in age from 16 to 52 years the report says It is charged that in a great many instances the parents consent consent con con- sent to the marriage of their daughters at tender ages to evade educational lawS and thus to per per- permit mit their daughters to go to work The league of women voters is I seeking enactment of a law to raise the marriage age of girls in New York from 14 to 16 years ye I Ithe the state racing commission were erf
