Nims 67 former resident resident resi resi- dent of the intermountain area I Iwho who served for 47 years with the I Utah Power and Light Co died I J I Sunday at his residence in Lanikai j Hawaii it was learned in Salt Sail Lake City Monday I At the time of his retirement I in August 1049 Mr Nims was j I personnel manager for the com corn pany He was born May 18 IS 1883 in Muskegon Mich After coming I west as a young man he became associated with the power company company com corn pany in 1 1901 1001 Ol as a plant operator later working as maintenance en- en gincer and division superintendent Mr Nims served successively as division manager at Rexburg Ida Provo Pro and Ogden before coming to Salt Lake City as military lIaison haison liaison hai- hai son officer for the company In 1914 1944 he was sas made director of Utah Power and Light Co personnel which position he held until retiring 1 i ing in 1949 He then moved to to Hawaii At the time of his death Mr Nims was a lieutenant colonel in inthe inthe the inactive reserves He had I Ithe served as a captain of engineers with the division and was wounded in the battle of Argonne While in Ogden he was tas president of the chamber of commerce the Ogden Rotary club and was active actie e I in Boy Scouting and was chairman chairman chairman chair chair- man of several Community Chest drives besides his widow the former Hazel of St. St Anthony Anthony Anthony An An- i thony Ida are the following sons eons ons and daughters Jerry P.
