Show FIGHT VICTIM t t DIES OF HURTS t. t of ofa Death of a year old victim p ft a street fight spurred purred police Thursday in their efforts to locate two persons who were supposed to have witnessed the fracas Victim of the fight or assault John Darrigan Hawthorne died Wednesday at p. p m. m at a Salt Lake hospital from injuries suffered Monday night in front of 63 South West Vest Temple street Mr Darrigan who suffered a skull fracture concussion am and bruises and lacer lacerations was found lying on the sidewalk Monday at I 10 20 p. p m. m and never fully regained consciousness police reported Shortly afterward an army lieutenant stationed at Wendover turned over to police a year old Tooele man believed to have been implicated in the affair and also gave the names of two persons who allegedly witnessed the fight Police Thursday had failed to locate these witnesses and were attempting to contact the army officer for additional Information The suspect who told police he knew nothing of the affair still is being held by police for gation Mr Darrigan a retired railroad man was born August 3 1875 in Amherst Mass a son of Jeremiah Jeremiah Jere Jere- miah and Sarah C. C Darrigan He came west vest when 24 years of age moving first to Montana and coming to Salt Lake City in 1900 He Me had been employed as switchman switch switch- man brakeman and engineer on various railroads most recently working for the Western Pacific railroad company and retired several several sev sev- eral years ago Mr Darrigan who never married married mar mar- ried ned Is survived by two brothers and a sister Thomas M.
