America Is Worth Defending THE THE people of S Salt lt Lake City ought to be beI I familiar by now with the American Legions Legion's slogan for the coming year It is America Is Worth Defending and it is of course in keeping with the legions legion's long range objectives of Americanization and national defense The local legion post No 2 is taking an active active active ac ac- ac- ac tive part in spreading that message in Salt Lake City Through the cooperation of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America and a local billboard concern 20 large boards in n the city are now displaying an artists artist's conception con con- of the American scene scene bustling bustling city booming industry and productive farmlands farmlands- with the slogan America Is Worth Defending the name of the American Legion and the legion legion le le- gion glon In addition to the billboard displays displays displays dis dis- plays there are a number of placard reproductions of the scene scene displayed in Salt Lake City store tore windows These displays merely are an initial phase of the legions legion's 1941 program designed to build faith in America and public determination to defend it against all attacks That program will be carried on through activities in the schools and in the community generally It will be carried on all over the country by legion posts and members continuing the broad Americanization work of the legion which has already proved so effective and beneficial to the nation More power to the American Legion in its 1941 program to convince all America that America Is Worth Defending
