Show HIGHLAND BOY. Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. John Tazzer that the r son, Eugene, has been promoted to the rank of Corporal. He .s serving in the engineer corps, and is stationed at Camp Clui-bourne, Clui-bourne, La. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Peterson and family of Rio Tinto, Nev have arrived in Highland Boy and are planning to make their home here. George Savich of the navy writes -Camp Farragut is quite a training station and that he is learning more each day. He left for the service on July 10. Steve Smilanich, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Smilanich, arrived ar-rived home Saturday from Too- j ele where he has been visiting for the past two months with Mrs. Steve Savich. . Miss Ann Casich entertained Thursday evening at a delightful delight-ful get-together party held at the home of Mrs. Lucille Callen. Five hundred was played. Table centerpiece was of white daisies-Delicious daisies-Delicious refreshments were served ser-ved to: Milka Tomas, Helen Uzelar, Mrs. Steffie Gerbich and Mrs. Matt Pazell. George Smilanich returned home Sunday after a three-week vacation at Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. Mrs. Lucille Callen returned home Thursday after spending eight days visiting her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Hudson Shepard in Idaho. Ida-ho. Accompanying her were Mr. and Mrs. Albin Johnson of Bingham. Bing-ham. Among the spectators who took in the rodeo and other festivities fes-tivities of the "Days of 47", were Mr. and Mrs. Pete Zabala, Mr. ! and Mrs. George Massa, Mr. and j Mrs. John Tazzer, Mr. and Mrs. 1 'Serrilo Uberra, Matt Blockovich, ! Vern Rackich and Mike Love- i riph Miss Tillie Uzelac of Midvale spent the first of the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Uzelac Sr. For the past several months Miss Uzelac has been employed at the Army Air Base. |
