Show Work to Commence On New Canal Work will commence soon on tho new canal that will Irrigate tho land on Utah Lake, lying between tho Land Rock near Saratoga Springs and tho old rock ijuarry near Pelican Point. E. U. Jones will do tho engineering work and Meiulouhnll Hros. tho excavating. ex-cavating. The canal will commence at tho head of tho present canal that carries car-ries water for the Saratoga district of tho Utah Lako Distributing company, com-pany, and will be supplied by tho same pumping system. It will bo bo-, tween four nnd Ilvo miles long and cover approximately ouo thousand acres or land. Work on excavating the canul will commenco soon us tho cross sectioning has been completed. The principal land owners under tho now ditch are E. W. Schneider, Mr. Uall, E. 1). Jones, Dan Wogelmid, Mnrk Hopkins and tho Mtndenhall Uros., and Is tho most desirable frontngo on Utah Lake. u |
