| Show I I I STATEMENT Of George Mueller President Royal Baking Company I made a statement a few rew da days s 's ago to some come of ot the newspapers in regard to the bakers bakers' strike outlining my standpoint in which I I I- mentioned the facts about the situation In ln regard to the profits made Imade by the Royal Baking company the wages paid to our employees and andt the treatment they h receive by y us The re t statement t was contradicted l e by bs the union through the newspapers In my statement I made the following assertions assertions assertions asser asser- That the Royal Baking company company com corn pany which Is a wholesale bread business business business busi busi- ness has not been paying a dividend for three years and that I t L as president nt and manager received no salay I wish vish to state again that while we are doing business and trying to manufacture good bread as cheap as possible for tor the public it Is impossible for tor us to do so at the present price of raw material and the wages we are paying to concede to o othe the demands of oC the union without we raise mise the price of the bread I ha have hae e figured figured figured fig fig- and thought It out how the latter could be possible and I find no way out of ot it U. We Ve therefore came to the conclusion conclusion con con- elusion to Interest ail all our bakers and drivers and all employees connected with the Royal Baking company In the way of making them stockholders In the tho company which they gladly co consented to We Ve see no reason why the union should keep on making threats and bad blood against us and their fellow tellow work man I 1 know that we are doing th tb tWo best we can under the circumstances Any statement t ie person and doubting u who are the eJ interested truth t of J nn my Inthis In Inthis y this ma matter tte l' l can see me and I will wUl them then through tho the business show them how the men ire re treated etc I I. I therefore therefore therefore there there- fore want It understood that while I have nothing against the union while the they have havo the right to organize as well as any any persons person's yet the they should keep within certain lines anI and not make any threats for tor I think that persons wantIng wanting wanting want- want Ing to gain pain an object can catch m more re flies files with flies wIth molasses than with vinegar GEORGE MUELLER OIL MAN GOES EAST FOR CAPITAL R.
