Show A marriage license was granted grant-ed Amador J. Morena and Amelia S. Robles, both of Bingham Canyon, Can-yon, last Thursday m Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. John L. Johnsen and daughters, Miss Wilma John-sen John-sen and Mrs. Bailey Lindstrom of Provo, left Sunday for . an eight-day vacation in San Diego with William J. Johnsen, who is serving in the U.S. navy. Mr. and Mrs. George Abpla-nalp Abpla-nalp were hosts Friday evening at a meeting of their card club. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. John Turner, Mr. and Mrs. La-Vell La-Vell Timothy, Mr. and Mrs. Le-land Le-land Timothy and from Copper-ton Copper-ton Mr. and Mrs. George Gadd and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Coleman. Cole-man. James Jimas left Monday for ten days in Lompoc, Calif., to join his wife and visit his son-in-law and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Kanoupis. Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Dunn and children, Jack and Patsy, of Salt Lake City, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Boren Sunday. Clair R. Mathis, J. C. Penney store manager .spent Thursday and Friday attending meetings for J. C. Penney company store managers in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Erbin Olsen of Sterling went home Sunday following a week's stay with her sister, Mrs. Rulon Madsen. Bridge was the diversion Tuesday Tues-day evening at the home of Mis. Lloyd J. Houston when she entertained en-tertained for Mrs. T. R. McNeills, Mrs. A. J. Ablett, Mrs. William Kidd and Mrs. Robert Detmers. Late refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Marriott spent Tuesday visiting . Mrs. George Pickering, a sister of Mrs. Marriott, in .Salt Lake City. Among those attending the exhibition ex-hibition of a touring tennis troupe at the Deseret gym in Salt Lake City Tuesday night were Mr. and Mrs. E. Odell Peterson, Stephen Pickering, Ray Pett and Mildred Warner, all of Copperton. Others applauding the skill of Donald Budge, Frank Kovacs and Bobby Riggs were Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Boberg of Bingham Canyon. Mrs. Ed Shaw was a business visitor last Friday in Salt Lake City. LOCALNOTES Mr. and Mrs. William Goris entertained en-tertained friends Sunday following follow-ing the christening of their youngest son, David Constantine, at the Hellenic Orthodox church in Salt Lake City by the Rev. Wilson are attending all games of the Utah state high school basketball tourney held in Salt Lake City Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
