UTAH TEAM WINS FIRST AID PRIZE A Utah team Friday had won first honors in the tho seventh industrial first aid contest concluding feature of tho the four day Western Safety conference in Salt Lake City Delegates from 11 western states and Canada were en route to their homes Friday some of at them with prizes in tho the contest but the first prize remained at home won by tho the service department team of the Utah Power and Light com corn pany At a banquet Thursday night In Inthe tho the New Newhouse ouse hotel winners were announced d and awards presented by D. D J. J Parker president of the Utah-Nevada Utah Safety sod society ty Magna Team Victor The Magna ragna mills team of the Utah Copper company won first place Inthe in inthe the tho B class division Tho The Nevada Consolidated Copper company team from Ruth took second in the B class and tho the Kiwanis Salt club Lake Telegram junior girls team won von first award in the women's division The A division included teams which had previously participated in interstate first aid contests and tho the B division teams none of whose I members had participated in such contests previously 13 lZ Teams Vie VIC Twelve teams were entered In the contests which of off in the Coconut Grove ballroom the Colorado Fuel and Iron corporation Pueblo which took first place last year three from the Nevada Consolidated Consolidated Consolidated Con Con- Copper corporation two from Ruth and one from McGill two from the Utah Power and Light company two from the Utah Copper Copper Copper Cop Cop- per company one from Magna and andone andone one from Bingham one from the Columbia Steel corporation one from the Bingham volunteer fire department and two from the tho Kiwanis Kiwanis Ki Ki- KI- KI wanis yanis club and Telegram the tho boys' boys and girls' girls division Gus P.
