Show WELFARE DRIVE GAINSHEADWAY Early reports on the combined Community Chest, War chest and Red Cross drive indicate that the campaign now underway is receiving re-ceiving wholehearted support of the general public, according to the report by Irvin Stillman, secretary of the Community Chest. To realize receipt of the $12,000 sot as goal of the drive, a $3 contribution will be solicited solicit-ed from every wage earner in the district. First report on pledges to the chest was that made by school teachers of Bingham high school and Copperton, Copperfield, Lark, .Highland Boy and Bingham Bing-ham grade schools, who have exceeded ex-ceeded their quota of $3 each. The committee in charge of directing collections includes Dr. Paul S. Richards, L. F. Pett and Elliott' W. Evans. Contributions to' the drive will be divided in this manner: $3000 to Bingham Canyon welfare activities; ac-tivities; $4500 to American Red Cross and $4500 to Salt Lake county War chest. |
