Is no doubt about it that f families milies do give their members In Inferiority Inferiority Inferiority In- In complexes Families Families' have no reserves when it comes to telling each constituent member all its faults and failings and painting them in their most lurid light I If they wouldn't forget to color up the good points so the picture would attain some sort of ot balance it wouldn't be so bad but how many families do this No doubt but that your whole self self- centered attitude at work and even during your our recreational hours in ina ina ina a crowd comes from a deep set in inferiority inferiority inferiority in- in complex and a certain fear lear you were made to feel in early child child- hood Most of our inferiority complexes com corn com come from fears Fears that we have said the wrong thing that wo we wont won't make good on our job fears that our friends wont won't like us Whenever you get rid of your fears your inferiority will vanish When you walk to your desk Inthe in inthe inthe the morning your fellow workers are probably so absorbed In their own work or their own thoughts about themselves the they hardly know you are there so wh why should you waste all that effort trying to impress impress impress im im- im- im press them If they think of ot you youat youat ou at all it is probably to say to themselves themselves themselves them them- selves She certainly thinks a lot Jot lotof lotof of herself People who do cant can't escape letting the thc fact be known Now for the cure Dress yourself yourself your jour self appropriately for the occasion and forget about your clothes think of your work not of ot the impression impression impression im im- im- im you are making with it but only that you ou will do it the best you can Read books talk with people peo peo- pIe plc to learn their interests and store your our mind with ideas that may have some direct appl application cation in action One of the best w ways ys of getting rid of ot a self centered attitude based on onan onan onan an inferiority complex Is to have a hobby other than your work into which you throw much of your time and thought Suppose your hobby is drama Study the development development de de- de of the drama front from Its earliest beginnings Develop a critical attitude which means one of ot appreciation as well as of ot adverse adverse adverse ad ad- verse analysis And in regard to your family start seeing the different members for their individual traits give them thema a word of oC praise for their Try looking at them as you would at a we girls gave a 0 Halloween party to which we In In- sited boys bos I invited a boy whom I like very well and who had also liked me The party was WM a lot of fun at first but toward the end we Couldn't i control the boys and they wouldn't quiet down loner Ions enough to listen to tao tho Instructions But my friend just sat ast back and looked bored The next day at school he didn't pay as ns much attention to mo me as he had done before the party Pl I cant can't think of ofa n 1 single mistake I made Do you think the way the party turned out at the end caused him to change I his feelings toward me Still Im I'm not even sure whether he Is sore core or note not How can enn I find out BROKEN It is a great disappointment to have havea lave a party go flat at the end Everybody feels it and perhaps the hostess most of all aU It is so necessary necessary sary to plan parties right through to o the end and a hostess has a full full- time job on her hands to see sec that not one of her guests is bored One just cant can't escape that sour feeing feeling feel teel- ing ng for days after having been thoroughly bored at a party And somehow the blame is all heaped on the head of the poor hostess when it is probably the fault tault of the guests that things couldn't be made madeo co o 0 move along But if I were you I should ignore the fact of the party altogether Just continue to be your own cheerful cheerful cheer cheer- ful natural self Go in fn in a heavy way ay for the activities at school in addition of course to your lessons Keep your our friends interested in you because you are arc interested in such sucha a number of things Learn to refer things as much to your head as to your heart and you'll find with the development in your emotional life you will n t be upset over little things And dont don't worry about the attitude of the boy One cant can't be bethe bethe bethe the same person all the time Each has different moods different thoughts and emotions that color his tiis actions S CLUB PROBLEM I Dear Miss Blair I have listened to your radio broadCasts broad broad- costs Cast and enjoy them very cry much I know you jou ou have solved the problems for lor different ideas about It and would surely appreciate having ha hay hav log ing the problem solved for us DOUBLE 13 I would surely hate to be a member member mem mem- ber of the refreshment committee that had to supply refreshments enough to feed a crowd say of four who were weN to bring cakes failed atthe atthe at atthe the last Jast minute to arrive with their apportionment It would surely place responsibility if it were definitely definitely deli deli- decided that those on whom the club depended for their refreshments refreshments refreshments refresh refresh- ments were vero to take the entire re responsibility responsibility re re- of seeing that the re refreshments re re- were at the appointed place either cither b by taking them themselves themselves them them- selves by sending them or in cast case of illness seeing to it that somebody somebody somebody some some- body else did the pinch hit act for tor them in case they couldn't co 0 any part of it PUPPIES FOR GIFT Two
