U S. S Steel approached its high after a f slight dip in early trading lic and Youngstown issues made i new highs Servel made a new high 51 while was active at the previous close i S Warner Brothers Pictures Issues gave ave a demonstration of strength in the amusements the common and preferred making new tops for the year The latter rose more than 3 points Motor equipments continued to gain with new highs in Stewart Stewart- Warner Timken Detroit Axle and Roller Bearing American Radiator equaled its high in the tho building division where trading was light Rubber issues made small gains Oils steadied Chemicals were steady So were Railroad shares were firm throughout the session In light turn over Utility issues strengthened es especially especially es- es the preferred Issues In the latter group American Power anti and Light issues made new highs for the year with gains of 2 to 3 points
