A GUEST CURIOSITY I sometimes like to walk about And Arid watch the people as the they go And wonder what has brought them out outTo outTo outTo To trudge the sidewalks deep with snow sno J I am beset with questioning There is so much Id I'd like to ask Where is that womans woman's wedding weeding ring And does that laborer like his task Why is that face so sad to see sec What sudden grief has chilled her lien heart What That does docs that young oung man hope to tobe tobe tobe be Who drives today a grocers grocer's cart What story could that old man tell Who walks with such uncertain tread A doctor rings a neighbors neighbor's bell I wonder who wh is sick in bed But these are things Ill I'll never know For like a very foolish dunce And thinking help I mi might ht bestow I stopped and asked a woman once Has one been cruel and unkind That you so o troubled seem to be What weight of sorrow lies behind That look of anguish all can cars see No longer was she teary eyed But with the stoniest of stares She looked me over and replied I wish you'd mind your our own af at- fairs Copyright 1935 Edgar A.
