DEMOCRATIC LEADER OF WOMEN IS DEAD Mrs Anna MeI Meier r 78 widow of ot the late James Meier and well known Democratic worker died at her home rear of ot East Fourth South street late ate Monday following an Illness inness of six months Mrs Meier was a charter member of the Women's Democratic club and served as mailing clerk at the 1919 legislature She was born in Basel Switzerland July 4 1855 and md came carne to Utah in 1878 where she took an asa active part put in mission mission mis mis- sion work for lor the L L. D D. S. S church lending lend lend- ing aid to new arrivals from Europe She had hd been a member of the Service Ser vice Star legion since its inception Surviving are three sons George Georgc Meier of ot Salt SaIL Lake Leke James Meier of ofSan ofSan ofSan San Diego iego Cal Cat and Francis Meier of Chicago nine grandchildren and andone andone one great grandchild
