| Show Law Aims at Control Of Coin Play Machines City Ordinance Drafted as Result of Influx After After- Slot Slot- Drive A proposed ordinance to license amusement devices outside the scope of an ordinance prohibiting slot machines and other gambling devices was drafted Monday by City Attorney Fisher Harris The proposed law was order ordered d by the city commission following an In Influx influx in- in flux of devices as a result of the drive against slot machines The proposed ordinance would make it unlawful for an any person to sell place distribute or deliver any amusement device device- or permit its Ju op without having obtained a license Must Mast Place Sticker A sticker of the license inspector would be fixed to each device The proposal defines an n amusement amusement amusement amuse ment device as any machine device or contrivance not prohibited by see sec tion 25 revised city ordinances of 1934 and designed to be operated pr or used for tor amus amusement ment or to playa play a game on payment oL ot some charge charge- or insertion of a coin slug or check Two classes of ot licenses would be provided Class A would be for persons persons perSons per per- sons selling leasing placing or distributing distributing distributing dis dis- devices The annual fee would be plus 1 for each device Lesser Fee Class B would be for persons who possess operate or use a a. device on which no fee has been paid or Is chargeable under class A A.
