Show WAR BOND SHOW AT PRINCESS ON MONDAY, FEB. 14 Windup of the Fourth War Loan drive in Bingham district will be the War Bond Premiere at the Princess theatre Monday night, February 14. The committee com-mittee has arranged a varied and entertaining program which should fit the taste of all bond buyers. The film shown will be "The Desert Song", a technicolor musical mu-sical starring Dennis Morgan and Irene Manning. In addition, "The Kid In Upper Four", a John Nes-bitt Nes-bitt short, will be shown. The War Activities committee has also arranged , for a stage show featuring Moro Gonzales, former cartoonist for the New York World Telegram, now of Salt Lake City. Those who attended at-tended the Kearns show last spring will remember the hit Mr. Gonzales made with his chalk talk and fast caricatures. Now employed by the Salt Lake Tribune-Telegram, Mr. Gonzales' drawings are featured by the daily papers. Other entertainment will feature fea-ture a band from Fort Douglas, composed of artists formerly appearing ap-pearing with noted name bands. A novelty auction sale will be held with contributions of local merchants. In order to secure tickets for the Premiere, you must have purchased an extra war bond since January 27 from any of the issuing agents in Bingham. Present Pre-sent your receipt or show your bond at the ticket window of the theatre any evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and tickets will be issued. It is recommended that tickets be secured early. Al Ablett and Bill Ablett will act as masters of ceremonies. One of their announcements will concern a strip tease, with the participant removing articles of clothing as they are auctioned to the highest bidder. |
